Devon and Severn Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority (D&S IFCA) is the statutory organisation which manages both commercial and recreational marine fishing activities from the shore out to the six nautical mile limit.
The Authority’s District covers both the north and south Devon coasts and the Severn Estuary in south west England. Devon and Severn is one of ten IFCAs around England’s coast with a shared vision:
“Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authorities will lead, champion and manage a sustainable marine environment and inshore fisheries, by successfully securing the right balance between social, environmental and economic benefits to ensure healthy seas, sustainable fisheries and a viable industry.”
As part of our Sea Angling Strategy and D&S IFCA are committed to engaging with and developing the Recreational Sea Angling sector. As a FishTrail partner D&S IFCA will be developing a series of videos which will showcase some of the incredible opportunities for sea angling in our District and encouraging anglers to adopt sustainable practices.
